Local production, King Of Hawker, is a simple movie to enjoy. There is no complex storyline. Just plain simple story of the main character got a divorce and goes back home where she took over the family hawker stall. This show could be Singapore's only movie with the most Cantonese dialogs. If you do understand Cantonese humors you will enjoy this show. Director Kelvin Sng wants to bring out the topic of our hawker culture. We do appreciates our hawkers where we get most of our food. Lastly after the movie you will sure feel hungry! 

Disney is producing a new X-Men cartoon. It is the continuation of the retro X-Men 90s cartoon series. In the 90s, when Marvel Comics is not owned by Disney, they published many good comics as well produced cartoons based on their characters. One of the best cartoons would be the X-Men. It would in it\s 5 seasons features many Marvel comic characters, either story wise or just a screen appearance. It introduced the Marvel world to many who doesn't follow comics. After the show ended, many other shows followed but isn't that successful. Moving to present day now, Disney owns Marvel. With all the Disney products not doing well and not giving the fans the story that they preferred, most of the shows are just a comes and goes. Right now I would expects the same from X-Men 97, that is the title of the new show. The looks are similar but you can see Storm with her long hair gone. Expect more changes. With all the gender diverse stuff going on in the comics, expect them to spill into the show. A good way to ruin one of the best show ever.

It is the Lunar new year and surprisingly, there is nothing great in the cinema or free to air TV. While the local made comedy Money Not Enough is good for the local taste, it's mix of dialect is a turn off for some that doesn't understand Hokkien. You could also watch the Action movie The Beekeeper. The show about justice served by a one man wrecking machine against corruptive agents. This one man is Jason Statham and his movie has the entertaining element.
