bio-degradable USB disk

If you haven't read about it, a Hong Kong base company Hoshino released the world first bio-degradable USB disk. It is suppose to be eco-friendly. The picture attached doesn't show much on it but I assume the connector is metal like all USB connectors. What would the differences between a normal USB and this bio-degradable type? The cost. If it is more costly, it certainly won't get anyone to buy it. For me, I would care if the price is higher cost than a normal USB disk. It takes years to bio-degrade but I doubt the lifespan will take that long. Once it stopped working I will dump it to trash. So all is taken care of. I don't need it to bio-degrade if I disposed of it properly.
