The Avatar movie sequel, currently in cinema is more on family relationship than it's overall story. The first Avatar movie is all about humans attempting to conquering a planet or moon for their resources. The natives of the planet fought back, with some help from some humans that disagree with the violence that comes with it. Here in the sequel, the humans are back and the main villain is here for payback against the humans that fought against him. However, these characters are not humans anymore. It's all about keeping the family safe. This movie is still good when James Cameron is directing. 

Pokemon, an ending of a chapter

 

The Pokemon anime is right now a long an on-going series still on TV. However, it was a miracle that they manage to keep it running with the same group of characters and still keeping their popularity. Everyone would probably at one point watch some of them. It would be impossible to watch the whole series as most of us would like have out grown it. Right now, as previously posted that Ash Ketchum is now the champion, here is that his story will be ending. However, fret not! There will be new stories with new characters. The mega franchise is likely going to put out multiple shows since the world is so big there will be enough adventure for everyone. But for now, some of us fans will be ready to bid some characters good bye. Chance that with Ash leaving the story, it may also include other characters like Team Rocket. These guys are nothing is there is no Ash for their game.

Superman reboot planned

 

The next Superman movie will be a reboot afterall. Not even an cameo appearance on Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam helped to bring back Superman actor Henry Cavill. Ever since the DC movie universe started building up with their movies and TV series, these story worlds doesn't link with each others nor do they even seems to be based on their comic sources.

So what else would be new now that a new Superman movie is being written? If WB bosses have their pockets full, they probably will give a better story of Superman vs some powerful mean villains. Such as Brainac, Parasite or even Bizarro. Right now as in every variations of Superman show, guess the most easiest casting will be Lex Luthor. If that is the case, why even bother a new reboot at all?

Rise of the Beasts trailer

This month we lost 2 characters most of us grew up with. Kevin Conoy, the voice behind most Batman animated shows and Jason David Frank, the original Green Power Ranger. 

Kevin Conroy is mostly known as the voice of Batman in the Animated Series that includes Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. He voiced some other Batman shows and video games. He has also appeared as Bruce Wayne in a Batwoman episode.

Jason David Frank is the Green Power Ranger. The Green Ranger is the first ranger character that is a bad guy. He later turned good guy as the White Ranger. Jason moved on to other Power Ranger series as other colored rangers.

Ash is No.1 trainer in Pokemon series!

 

Ash Ketchum from the longest running anime series has finally completed every competitions in the show and is now No.1 trainer in the show! Now that he has "beaten" everybody, will this be the end of the show or more adventures awaits? Perhaps there will be spin offs from the show. But regardless if the show continues or to have spin offs, it will ultimately be on the writers. It will be their stories that will keep the fans and audiences continue to support the show.

Apple have released a new Mac OS for Macintosh computers. The Mac OS 13, Ventura. It have a revamped GUI on some of the controls. This mac os is mainly made for their Apple Silicon chips and certain functions are only available for M1 chipset units. As usual, this Mac OS is free for download and use on Mac computers that can run it.

Batgirl the movie cancelled

Hollywood currently is mostly banking on their comics products into movies. While the many movies from Marvels and DC comics, some are blockbusters while other flops in term of commercial earnings. Most fans are the harshest critics when the products doesn't match the origins as per the comics material. The latest DC movie Batgirl, already a completed project but was announced as cancelled. It seems that the new management of Warner Brothers, which DC comics is part of the WB umbrella, made the decision to not release the movie. The differences that the movie with the comics are the usual. Race swapped characters and probably plot and origin differences. The management could be fans themselves and may not accept how the final product is or it wasn't doing well in the test screening. In any case, even star powers like Michael Keaton fail to boost the project.

Parallax figure is coming

 

While fans are still waiting for Hal Jordan to be back as the main focus as Green Lantern in all medias, a figure of him will be in market. The Hal Jordan Parallax figure from McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Gold Label will be out. While still hoping for more Hal Jordan Green Lantern figures, having a Hal Jordan Parallax figure is good too. There has never been much Parallax figure other then the classic Total Justice and some newer Green Lantern toy series. This newest figure will put Parallax in the multiverse. Parallax is the main villain in the Zero Hour crisis.

A-Ha's long awaited new single is coming out on 8-July. Their album is be out later this year in October. This is suppose to be part of a movie of which follows the band as they are creating this album.

Cathay Cinema is closing the cinema at Cathay Building. The last day was on 26-June. The building is an iconic structure that been through the war. Now it is going to be standing there without a Cathay operated cinema. Without this cinema, would there be anyone going to set foot at this building?

Marvel Multiverse lacking

 

After watching Doctor Strange, the concept of the Multiverse was just being used as just a dimension hoping. Here in comic related material, it is the multiverse. The audiences got introduced to multiple version of the characters of different multiverse. While the movie is doing some goodness in bring some fans services of cameo of familiar yet different characters, it isn't done enough. Perhaps if they can get these famous actors to go into a drama series, to lengthen the story line that fans wanted more of, that would be great. 

 

The comic industry has lost another legend. The artist George Perez, well know for DC vs Marvel series, Teen Titans and others has passed away. His drawings always include multiple of other characters in the back ground regardless of a battle or a scene where everyone else are background characters. He 67 years.

 

There is a new Green Lantern animated movie. This movie focus on John Stewart instead. If you are following on DC Comics, you do noticed that they don't quite put Hal Jordan as the main Green Lantern anymore. It is on John Stewart. Well, the writer can do a John Stewart series, but give John his own villains. Why does he needs to fight Hal's villains? Anyway, I have watched the trailer of this film. John seems to wear a coat over his costume. Hal Jordan and the corp was presumed killed in action. Maybe there will be more screen time of Hal Jordan and the ending may have the main Green Lanterns back.

 

The comics industry, mainly DC Comics have lost a legend. Neal Adams passed away on 28-April-22. His works includes Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, X-Men and more. You would probably read them when you started reading comics. Neal Adams, age 80.

 

 

 

DC Comics is going with Death again to sell their books. By now, we as readers should know comic death isn't permanent and to further use of death just isn't going to attract more interests. DC comics should just focus on their main core titles with storylines that stick with the fans. Give the fans what they wanted if you want them to support your books. It's that simple.

If you watched the Oscars yesterday, the Will Smith drama would becoming the main focus of the event. When would it be a joke or something out of line? While it depending on individual, formal events should be dealt with formally. Smith could have formally complain about it. There would be a department about it. To be walking up and getting physical would be an attention grabbing that even overshadow his winning at the Oscars. 

 

Wrestling Legend passed away

 

If you follow wrestling in the late 80s and 90s, you will know of Razor Ramon or Scott Hall. He is one of the colorful character that known as the Bad Guy in WWF. Everyone loves his action. He is a multiple times champion. When he moves over to WCW, together with his good friend Kevin Nash, they are the tag team the Outsiders. He got tag team champion and other champion titles. When Hulk Hogan came along, they formed the NWO. Scott had a hip replacement surgery, which then led to heart attack. He was put on life support in Hospital. He was later taken off life support.
