Veteran actors pay cut until they feel their pride and dignity being lowest. These veteran actors are those of grandpa or dad to adults type. So now you notice, there isn't much old people characters in most productions. Even if have it is only one or two and they are not even the station actors. The days of SBC is just a memory. Then most actors being on screen are a star, regardless they are big or small. Now, if you are no longer "fresh" time to move on.
