transfering money from the counter is safer
If you ever uses the ATM to do money transfer to some other accounts, you have to be super extra careful. If you transfered to a wrong account, it would usually be bye bye to your money. While you can lodge a report to the bank, it doesn't always work. The bank would have to get the affected account holder to approve before they can transfer out the money. So if the account holder doesn't approve, you have to lodge a police report or a magistrate complaint. All these takes time and will it be worth those money you just wrongly dumped there? So if you have to transfer money, make a trip to the bank to do it. Banks nowadays open longer hours and some banks are even open on weekend. It would be safe for your money to do it by the bank people behind the counter. If they made mistake they could rectify it without much excuses while a mistake done by yourself from a ATM would be dependable on the other wrong account holder to release the money.
