super slight change for a start
Local TV made a super slight improvement yesterday. At least to me is a super slight improvement. They invited a guest that is from a rival competitor for a talk show. Usually, the big boys would cut away any mention of their rivals and their artists. So it was a surprise to see a rivial station's artist on the show as a guest. Hopefully it will continue so. They could start with their magazines to feature the rival artists.

Yahoo needs backers?
So it seems Yahoo's Jerry Yang resigned as CEO, it would be a sign to MS to come take them in, for a price. Is going to MS being a life saver? It was to be a an advertising agreement with Google. However those anti competition groups with the gov had started to make noise. So it seems Google Yahoo is off for the moment. But is that what people want to see Yahoo becoming a MS section? Isn't what the gov have been hot on MS for their OS secrecy? Yahoo should just stay put. Their yahoo mail is good and so is their other areas. They just need tweakings.

tigers at no fault
Recently, the news of 2 tigers mauling a person to death. So what happened? The person was a worker or cleaning at the zoo. For some reasons he climbed into the tiger area and swam past the moat. So that's how he got killed. The keepers came at once when the alarm of someone being attacked by the 2 tigers came and distracted them with whatever they could find. Throwing pails and using the broom sticks to distract them. After this news, many people who are newspaper readers wrote in. The put in all kind of stupid and lame questions such as why the tigers should be put down. First of all, why the stupid brain of their would think itis the tiger's fault? Someone entered their lair so the tigers could go at the "intruder". Second these beasts have killer instincts. While the zoo tried to put barriers to stop people from entering, they are only deterance. If someone wants to climb they could. Some sensible readers point out, people jump on the tracks of the MRT. So is it the train driver fault? Next time these lame post start to appear on the papers trying to act smart questioning, the poster need a smack on their pea brain for wasting time and resources on their useless questioning.

DOS is still gold to me
25 years ago Nov 10 was the start of MS Windows version 1. Amazingly that was kind of the start of a GUI interface and multitasking environment running on a DOS. If you start using a PC from Windows 95 or 98 or XP, you have missed the golden era of PC evolution. While it may not be as multitasked and great sound and colors, but PC then were simple. You have enough RAMs your PC will be king. The games were simple and easy to run. Unlike games now, it is big, requires high performance hardware and you need to wait while it struggle to load. Does that mean DOS is no more? DOS still will be around. Certain tasks some people would still prefer DOS and for people who had tasted the DOS era, they most likely will use DOS for some of their troubleshooting tasks.

do you switch off?
Do you ever leave your computer on through the night when you sleep? Or leave it running when you were not using such as watching TV, having your meals or went out of the house? It seems most people do leave it on while not even using it. It is wasting of electricity. While these people eventually will have to pay for the usage, it just isn't right. Saving on electricity will mean save the environment too. In the current world of IT, some people leave it on so that it is doing some downloading everyday. But there are some just doing nothing. So did you have the habit of switching off your machines after use? If you don't have better start doing it.
