F1 over

The F1 in Singapore was finally over. It was the first ever night race and Singapore became the first to host a night race. It was a record and watched by the world. I was not much of a race fan but it was quite a event to boost our country image. Hopefully this will be a yearly event and more could be improved such as the blockage and the chaos of the sea of people jamming the area. They could even use the road for some local racing. They shouldn't just let foreign events to use it but also allow local racer to use the track. It would be a welcome change for local racer to be able to race on a local track.

F1 fever

F1 fever is coming....! After watch people racing on a virtual city on arcade, this time it is reality. The F1 race will be running in Singapore. It will be a gathering of the speed demons! Disappointing that Michael Schumacher won't be joing in. He is a seven-time world champion. Hopfully this event will put Singapore up for future events.

china milk struck worldwide

The poisonous China milk had finally struck Singapore and worldwide are feeling the impact. How is that so? Because milk is being used as an ingredient for many food stuffs. If you think boycotting chinese product is safe, think again. Product made in another country could be also using imported china milk. Now if you order your coffee or teas or milo, think again if they are using those china milk..... There will always be black sheeps trying to clear their stocks.

sportman rewards

The recent olympic and Paralympic, our Singapore athletes brought back medals. However these medalist have recieves different amount of rewards. It was explained that the disabled athletes are able to compete in olympic, it should not be such big differences. These disabled are locally grew up. To get medals at the Paralympic is still world wide recognition and the rewards is to show our appreciations. To give them an amount to almost what our olympic heroes getting would mean we are serious in sports and all athletes that get medals should be treated equally.

China's poison stuff

China is always in the news again. Poisonous consumer food stuff. This isn't the first and I am sure it won't be the last. As always, some corrupted manufacturer sold some poison food stuff and cause some death. The recent case was the poison dumplings. Now for the first time, babies are the victim. It is time the Chinese government start to crack down on such bad businessmen. By not taking any touch action there will be no stopping of any future poisoning.

fare increase, again

Yes. Fare is increasing for public transport - buses and trains. Didn't they increased it some few months ago? Sure, since everything else is increasing but they should also improve their services. Their train and buses are still packed and waiting time is as long as 15 mins for buses and 5 mins for trains. Already there were unhappiness among some users. So far nothing was mentioned about improvment.

SAF change new no.4

It is official. The army had change their uniform again. Known as the No.4, it is the camouflage clothing most soldiers get. The classic camouflage comes in some patches of three colours. Now the new uniform follows the western countries such as US. It uses squarish pixels of the three colours as camouflage. Suppose to be noise that enhance the camouflage when out field. It sure take some time to get use to, after years of wearing the classic camouflage.

Google Chrome

On tuesday something rocked the web. Google unleashed their own browser that claims to be more faster than IE. It was agreed by majority of users who tried it. Named Chrome, or Google Chrome, it would be going against IE in this new browser war. IE won the first browser war against Netscape and it looks like another war is brewing. I haven't try Chrome yet due to some reported bugs. It is still Beta so I expect it to improve before I use it.

olympic hero finally

Finally our local olympic hero Tan Howe Liang got his reward for his contribution in the medals he got. He was given $10,000 cash award. The money certainly was long overdue. Does that mean that if no one got any medals for this olympic he won't get his award? He have done his country proud but the award took such a long time.
